MSN Games announced some great news for online game developers: Titles hosted by MSN Games will share a portion of revenue earned from in-game ads, according to Joystiq.
The revenue-share model is divided into two tiers: Developers whose games last 10 hours or more and who are willing to submit them to the Entertainment Software Rating Board for a rating will earn 20 percent of ad revenue; those who don't want to comply with those conditions would earn 10 percent.
Joystiq remarks that with more ESRB-rated games on its MSN Game property, Microsoft will find it easier to have its new Vista operating system filter content using parental control features.
