ClickZ: Movie Downloading Spurred by Broadband

Anti-Internet group Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) commissioned a study that suggests as many as a quarter of broadband users have downloaded a movie. The study didn't determine what sort of movie was downloaded and whether or not it was actually a copyrighted work. This didn't stop the MPAA from suggesting that the finding indicated the Internet is a threat to the movie industry's existing distribution channels.
