CNET: Study: Five countries send 99 percent of spam

About 55 percent of spam counted by Commtouch came from the U.S., according to a compiled list of miscellaneous statistics. The most popular spam pitch proved to be drugs and medicines, followed distantly by mortgage refinance offers and "organ enlargement." Fewer than one in fifteen spam messages was written in a language other than English.
