Monster has expanded its reach in the newspaper world to over 200 with just a handful of deals, reports Editor & Publisher.
The job-listing site created co-branded destinations for 11 daily newspapers, including The Columbus Dispatch, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and The San Francisco Examiner. Eight other papers will build co-branded sites in the near future.
Some daily papers will also sell ads through the Monster network. The deals allow for easier access to Monster for locally-oriented small businesses.
Monster's liaisons follow news that Yahoo HotJobs debuted "Smart" Ads across its network. Smart Ads are job listings that can be served to HotJobs, members based on behavioral, local, contextual or search data.
