Mobile PPC Gets the Greenlight

A service called Advertizer, provided by Greenlight Wireless of Irvine, CA, puts sponsored listings in the hands of mobile users, according to a recent press release. The program was released early this month.

Advertizer consists of a two-click model in which advertisers build marketing copy that links to dynamically-created landing pages. These pages are where the ads are actually located, and they are selected based on keywords that the advertiser has attached to the marketing copy.

Click-through rates have fluctuated between 1 and 3.1 percent per day, with the average click-through on the Advertizer landing page hovering at 44.1 percent, according to the company.

The average cost-per-click was $0.37 across approximately one to seven million searches per day on the new platform.

The Advertizer program operates on a 50/50 revenue sharing model.
