'Media with Attitude'
Nielsen is boosting the effectiveness of its Homescan Consumer Panel by adding Mindset Media's consumer personality profile mapping functionality, MediaBuyerPlanner writes.
Nielsen says (via Brandweek) the deal with Mindset Media, which identifies over 20 dominant personality traits that influence consumer behavior, represents the first time packaged goods marketers will be able to track consumer purchasing habits as well as the individual traits and behavior that drive those decisions.
The Homescan Consumer Panel includes 125,000 American households that record and scan all purchases. That information is collected and syndicated to CPG retailers. Incorporating data from Mindset Media is an additional $30,000, according to Nielsen.
