Microsoft's ZenZui Makes Mobile More Usable

ZenZui, a Microsoft spinoff, has released a slick graphical user interface for mobile phones, reports ClickZ. The interface maps "tiles" on the device's screen to number keys. Users then zoom to the tiles, which can be tied to frequently visited sites.

ZenZui will also use RSS to push new content to those tiles. Users will be able to customize their tile experience both on the device itself and online.

Advertisers will have the opportunity to either create branded tiles or put their messaging on existing tiles. Each tile will have room on it for a banner ad, but content providers can choose to give that space to a charity if they don't want an ad to run on it.

The browser application will be licensed to carriers but also be available for people to download themselves.
