Microsoft bought anti-spyware software company Giant Company Software and plans to offer its flagship computer hygiene program for free to Windows users within the "near-term," according to an eCommerce Times report. Microsoft said the software will come configured to delete and prevent the future installation of known spyware and other unwanted software.
