Microsoft Clarifies 'Vista Capable' after Being Sued

Just days after being served with a lawsuit over the matter, Microsoft has revised its definition of a "Vista capable" PC, reports the Seattle Times.

Less glowing language now graces the Microsoft website to explain what users can expect from the new Vista operating system. The new language more clearly states that not all "Vista capable" machines are powerful enough to run the fully loaded version of Vista.

Though all labeled PCs will run Vista's core features, more advanced features require more powerful machines, Microsoft now says.

A class-action lawsuit was filed by users who said Microsoft engaged in deceptive marketing by not making it clear that certain machines could run only the most basic form of Vista.
