Meta Search Firm Collects Mega Paid Listings

Washington Post: Better Searching Through Dogpile

What constitutes "better search" to Leslie Walker at the Washington Post may not be better for everyone, but one thing is clear: InfoSpace has turned Dogpile.com into an even more efficient money machine. InfoSpace's Dogpile takes a user's search term and applies it to all the major search engines, applying its own relevancy algorithms on top of the results returned by the big players. In its newly-revised version, Dogpile differentiates between paid and unpaid listings, having struck revenue sharing deals with those selling paid listings for the likes of Overture and Google.
