Fine
Ad industry analyst Lauren Rich Fine has announced that she will retire from Merrill Lynch effective next Friday, reports AdAge.
Fine has been with Merrill Lynch since 1986 and has served as lead advertising industry analyst since 1992. Despite having a career focused on Wall Street and Madison Avenue, Fine actually lived and worked in Cleveland, spending only minimal time in New York City.
Speculation has Fine eventually running a media company or in some way getting back into the advertising and marketing world. She said she would like to take some time off before beginning anything new.
Karl Choi, who has worked with Fine for the last ten years, will become Merrill Lynch's lead analyst upon Fine's departure on April 20.
