Meredith Buys Interactive Agency O'Grady Meyers

Magazine publisher and TV station owner Meredith Corp. has acquired O'Grady Meyers (OGM), an interactive agency specializing in relationship marketing and website development, reports the Associated Press. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Los Angeles-based OGM, which has 40 employees, will operate as a separate entity within Meredith Integrated Marketing, a division of 80 employees.

"They specialize in online CRM, and we specialize in offline CRM," Wendy Riches, EVP at Meredith Publishing Group, New York, is quoted by DM News as saying. "We have always outsourced CRM work in the past, and now we're bringing it in-house." She said the acquisition "puts us in a position to deliver marketing services programs that blend online and offline seamlessly."

OGM is interactive agency of record for Nestle USA brands, including PowerBar, Nestle Infant Nutrition, Buitoni and Carnation Instant Breakfast. Meredith publishes 25 magazines, including Better Homes and Gardens and Ladies' Home Journal; it also owns 14 television stations.
