Medio to Launch Mobile Ad Network

Wireless technology firm Medio has launched an ad network enabling sponsored mobile search results, according to The Seattle Times.
The tech company will first launch the ad network on Amp'd Mobile's network but will expand the carrier numbers in the next few months. The Medio platform, according to a company executive, will differ from others' mobile ad efforts in how it crosses between carrier store-font and mobile-friendly websites.

Medio's ad offerings include click-to-call or click-to-download formats that prompt users to input their information to complete the call or download.

Revenue will be shared between Medio and the wireless carrier or the publisher, depending on where users initiate their action.
