Internet TV firm Revision3, which hosts original web shows like Diggnation, claims copyright enforcement company MediaDefender sprung a denial of service (DOS) attack upon it over the weekend, says MediaPost.
CEO Jim Louderback says MediaDefender attacked Revision3's servers with repeated requests, resulting in a site crash that deprived it of 250,000 pageviews and ad revenue.
Louderback assumes MediaDefender was trying to deter pirates that have used Revision3's server in the past.
MediaDefender did not respond to the accusation.
