Mediaedge:cia has named Lee Doyle as CEO, and Rino Scanzoni as chairman, of its North American operations.

MEC's global CEO, Charles Courtier, will have his workload lightened as Doyle and Scanzoni assume some of the NA responsibilities he'd been handling, AdWeek reports.

Together, Doyle and Scanzoni will oversee all MEC activity in 23 cities across the U.S. and Canada - an operation with 800 employees and an estimated $8 billion in billings.

Both executives are likely to be replaced at the agency level within the next few weeks. MEC is part of WPP's GroupM.
