TBWA/Chiat/Day executive Chuck McBride has reached an agreement with Omnicom to open a new agency in San Francisco, according to AdAge.
The new shop, to be called Cutwater, will be manned mostly by former TBWA employees who will be working on the accounts of former TBWA clients. The shop will focus on integrated ad creative for clients such as Ray-Ban and Seagate Technology.
"Cutwater offers a fresh take on integration that is particularly relevant to clients in today's marketing and media environment," Omnicom CEO John Wren said in a statement announcing the formation of the shop, which is wholly owned by Omnicom.
