MatchNet's IPO Called Off; Tappin Steps Down

CNET: 'Faltering' market downs MatchNet IPO

Online dating site MatchNet's initial public offering is the latest casualty of "market conditions." The operator of JDate.com and AmericanSingles.com said that the IPO would be delayed due to "faltering marketing for Internet-related IPOs," this a day before Google's Dutch auction goes live for its own IPO. MatchNet announced CEO Todd Tappin would resign yesterday, to be replaced by board member David Siminoff.
