Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Tuesday said it's planning a social network for adult women, age 25-45, for sharing photographs, scrapbooks, recipes and projects with each other and home design experts, reports Reuters (via paidContent). The social network would be part of the Marthastewart.com and is slated for launch in the second half of next year.
"There is no place like MySpace, like Friendster, for that demographic," CEO Susan Lyne said at a financial conference. The success of MySpace has prompted the launch of other social-networking sites, such as JibJab Media's JokeBox.com and Sisterwoman.com, intended for women over 21.
