CNET: Dow Jones to buy MarketWatch for $520 million

Dow Jones offered to by financial site MarketWatch for $520 million, roughly $100 for each unique monthly site visitor. The independent media company put itself up for sale a few weeks ago, reportedly attracting interest from The New York Times and Yahoo as well. In addition to its site, MarketWatch has several paid email newsletters and several financial services it sells to other sites. The offer constitutes less than a 10 percent premium over its last trading price from last week.
