Mommy Blog Ad Opportunities
Advertisers seeking to target moms should consider placing ads on influential mommy blogs, according to a Unicast survey of 1,700 Power Moms about their back to school activities. The survey found more than one-third of respondents regularly read six or more mommy blogs, and 62% spend at least 3 hours a week doing so. Furthermore, 91% of the blogger respondents sell ad space, using a wide array of ad servers. The survey also found that brands shouldn't worry about annoying customers by placing ads in these channels: 31% of moms think online ads are "annoying but inevitable," 27% don't care and 35% think they're sometimes helpful or really like them. Less than 6% of respondents "hate them."
