Email marketing services firm Lyris will be acquired by J.L. Halsey Corp. for nearly $24 million in cash and a promissory note of $5.6 million, DM News reports. Lyris will become a subsidiary of Halsey, which announced the deal Monday. The Lyris flagship product, ListManager, helps users design and send newsletters, offers and other opt-in email campaigns. Lyris founder and current president John Buckman will stay on as adviser, while general manager Luis Rivera will lead the company as president/CEO.
