Lower Search Ads Produce Better Leads (Sometimes)

ClickZ: Higher Paid Search Rank Not Always Better, Study Says

Atlas DMT released a study showing that lower-ranked paid search placements on low-volume search phrases convert even better than the higher-placed placements. This may indicate that clicks coming from the lower placements imply that the reader is more qualified relative to the topic at hand. But with high-volume search phrases, this trend reverses.
