Local Net Ads Up 28 Percent, to Hit $3.9 Billion in 2005

Local online advertising grew 28 percent in 2004 to reach $2.7 billion, according to a new Borell Associates study. Borell also predicts even bigger growth for 2005, pegging local online sales to reach $3.9 billion as newspapers and radio and TV stations come to grips with the necessity of expanding their various local media offerings to include online components.
