DM News: L.L. Bean Sues Claria Advertisers

L.L. Bean launched a lawsuit against four of adware firm Claria's advertisers, claiming trademark infringement. The four defendants are Nordstrom, JCPenney, Atkins and Gevalia. The suit joins at least eight others against Claria, but this one concentrates on Claria's clients rather than on the company itself. The suit claims that targeting ads to appear when a user views a certain site can cause trademark confusion and constitute an unfair business practice.
