Lyris has introduced ListManager 10, an email marketing engine that promises "unrivaled email deliverability."
A recent Harris Interactive survey found that while 58 percent of consumers consider email a good means of maintaining contact with companies, only 77 percent of invited email successfully arrives at inboxes.
Overzealous spam filters or email servers are part of the problem. (Marketers often get blocked at the ISP level if servers get frequent, and repeated, bounces from them — one reason why it is crucial to keep an email list up-to-date.) ListManager addresses these frustrations with the following features:
- "Mailstreams" that allow marketers to send emails in parallel and over multiple IP addresses, resulting in faster sending speed and safeguarding blocked IPs.
- Mailstream Optimization, which lets users offer email delivery priority to premium subscribers. (Grouping qualified customers under one IP address helps marketers keep reputation scores high, making their emails more likely to arrive at the intended destination.)
- Smart Bounce Processing flags and removes invalid email addresses but saves legitimate ones, minimizing the bounce rate.
- Dynamic Block Reaction reads response codes from the ISP and dynamically adjusts connection limitation properties.
Nokia, Adobe, Johns Hopkins University, Jupiter Media, and American Apparel are among Lyris's 10,000 clients.
