Level 3 and Cogent said today they have reached an agreement after a dispute three weeks ago that had left large numbers of their customers without internet access as a result of the breakdown of the peering agreement (free reciprocal network access) between the two ISPs, reports Red Herring. Level 3 and Cogent said they have agreed on new terms to continue their peering arrangement, including specific payments if "certain obligations are not met."
