'Lee and Dan' Now Denying VW Had Role in Ad

Poynter E-Media Tidbits blogged a Guardian story that quotes one of the makers of the recent VW bomber-in-a-Polo ad, who now is explicitly denying that VW had anything to do with it. The report indicates the group, Lee and Dan, spent only 400 quid on the project, which seems unlikely, if not impossible. The production was shot on 35mm film, and the group previously told another interviewer that the effort cost about £40,000.
