Leaked iPhone Sales Manual Bares All

Is it lust or is it love?

A leaked AT&T training manual for the upcoming iPhone makes a number of inside revelations on the coveted unit, reports Smarthouse News.

Some facts, such as the iPhone's lack of a hard keypad, are already common knowledge, per the series of iPhone ads that came out in the last couple of weeks (via Adrants).

Among other characteristics, the new iPhone provides support for IMAP, POP3 and Yahoo Push email. As with Blackberry phones, IM conversations cannot be conducted on its interface; however, SMS text messages will look like IMs.

Photos and videos via SMS are not supported, a major shortcoming for users who expect the Multimedia Messaging Service standard in the highest-profile converged phone-and-music/photo device to ever court the market.

Only iTunes-compatible content may be used with the iPhone, and its virtual keyboard has a built-in error correction and prevention setting.

The new iPhone lacks GPS capability. There is also a section in the leaked manual on "Overcoming Objections."

AT&T reported that in the last week another 500,000 advance orders have been placed, atop the 1 million accumulated over the past few months.

The iPhone makes its market debut on the 29th of June.
