Think of it, it's probably for sale here
Just about anything has been sold, or at least put up for sale, on eBay. The latest trend on the auction block includes troubled Internet companies, reports USA Today.
Companies like DigForIt.com sold for $25,400 last month, while online organizational site SynapseLife sold for $60,000. Sellers are drawn to eBay due to the speed in which the deal closes - often within a month.
Online calendar service Kiko struggled after Google launched a similar product. The company turned to eBay, ultimately selling to software site Tucows for more than a quarter-million dollars.
Of course, selling a start-up on eBay isn't always the wisest immediate move: most deals require legal paperwork before putting up a "For Sale" sign.
