Meet A.J., a 16-year-old Indian ringneck parakeet who can sink putts on a miniature green and dunk a tiny basketball.
A former tonight show darling, the bird was given to trainer/owner David Cota by Johnny Carson in the early 1990s. Thanks to sites like YouTube, A.J. and Cota are staging a comeback, according to USA Today.
The parakeet's rise to online fame started by recently winning an "outrageous bird" viral video contest sponsored by MagRack, an on-demand TV network.
Next up on A.J.'s training agenda: Water skiing. "I don't think there is any limit to what I can show him," Cota said. (A video of A.J. can be viewed here.)
