The Los Angeles Times has provided content to Universal Pictures to promote The Black Dahlia, a movie based on a 1947 unsolved murder.
The Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune and Newsday wrapped their Sunday movie sections with a four-page insert promoting the movie's website. The LA Times opened its archives and provided the site with over 50 articles published in the 1940s, Editor&Publisher reports (via MediaBuyerPlanner).
The LA Times will also run teaser ads in print through Sept. 14, the day before the movie opens, as well as POS promotional cards at newsstands.
