The Rachael Ray Show is
among KickApps' clients
Today widget maker KickApps will announce a liaison with Clearspring Technologies, a widget syndicator.
Clearspring will promote KickApps WYSIWYG Widget Studio to its userbase. The WYSIWYG — or "what you see is what you get" — Widget Studio enables users to create their own rich media widgets. And KickApps will be able to provide analytics to its users through Clearspring's tracking services, reports MediaPost.
Clearspring recently raised $18 million in funding. KickApps, considered a "white label" widget purveyor, serves clients like The CW, ABC Family, HBO and The Rachael Ray Show.
US companies are expected to spend $40 million on widgets in 2008, up from $15 million in 2007.
