Reuters: Kerry Selects Edwards as Running Mate
In a maneuver with little political significance, but perhaps showing continuing intent to emphasize his web efforts, presidential contender Senator John Kerry announced to his email list his decision to choose former rival John Edwards as his running mate, about an hour before he announced the decision to a crowded rally. The token "scoop" may be an effort to present a better value proposition to list members who have been sent many fundraising messages along with exhortations to help out with other campaign events.
