PaidContent: Jupitermedia Acquires Canadian Images Company For $7.3 Million
Jupiter continues its slide into the image reselling business, purchasing yet another stock photography web vendor, this one from Canada. Jupitermedia will purchase Hemera Technologies for roughly $7.3 million in cash. The company sells images by the disc or over over the web through its Ablestock and ImageExpress brands. The image business has reportedly been a very profitable one for Jupiter, as its overhead costs are low relative to the research and trade publication arms of the firm.
