Google has been named the most popular internet brand name in a new survey, reports The New York Times.
The survey from Jupiter sought to gauge who is attracted to what brands online. According to the results, Google aficionados tend to be men who are influential on the issue of consumer electronics. Yahoo fans, on the other hand, tend to be mainstream females.
MySpace, which was fifth overall, is on equal footing among teens but loses ground when those over 24 are factored in.
After Google and Yahoo claimed the first two spots Amazon, eBay and MySpace rounded out the top five. Microsoft, AOL, Apple, "Other" and "None" made up the bottom of the top 10 list.
