A U.S. District Judge has set a date for a jury trial in a trademark violation case involving Google and its AdWords platform, reports Bloomberg News.
Judge Jeremy Fogel has set a November 9th date to begin jury selection in the case of American Blind & Wallpaper Factory vs. Google. The home decorations seller contends that Google violates trademark by allowing competitors to buy its name to trigger paid search results.
Google won two similar cases, one brought by GEICO and one by computer repair site Recuecom. The latter is currently appealing its loss.
