'Net geeks and sports fans, rejoice: Users of online TV portal Joost may now watch NBA games under a new deal between the two, reports Mediaweek.
The NBA's new Joost channel features a mix of full games from earlier seasons, and clips and highlights from the current one. There will also be clip shows and retrospectives similar to those enjoyed by cable consumers.
The deal is the latest in a long string of partnerships signed by Joost as it seeks to bulk up its programming options.
It is also another move by the NBA to engage online audiences. The league previously orchestrated similar deals with YouTube and Google Video before shutting down its download-to-own service.
