JangoMail Releases Geo-Tracking for Email

Look how easy

Today JangoMail launched a Geo-Tracking Reporting functionality for its hosted email marketing service.

The feature lets marketers determine the location (city/state/country/zip code) of their email recipients through open, click and Web site activity tracking. IP address, ISP and latitude/longitude tracking data is also available.

Data can also be segmented by location or distance from a given point. Integration with Google Maps grants clients a visual overlay of data, demonstrating where clicks, opens and pageviews/conversions originated.

Data can be exported into dedicated JangoMail groups with a single click, enabling the simple creation of geo-targeted lists for follow-up email campaigns.

According to Forrester, email drove 41% of customers to make at least one online purchase over the course of the recession. Users are also more likely to respond to ads with coupons, or sign up for email promotions, than they were when the economy was kinder.

Forrester says email marketing will hit $2 billion by 2014 — at which point users will receive double the average of marketing emails they receive now.

For its part, JangoMail claims to have about 1800 clients.
