Though the iPhone perhaps enjoyed the most talked-about tech launch in history, there was plenty left after day one (Friday, June 29) on both coasts, reports ZDNet.
Apple retail stores had lines stretching for blocks in New York and San Francisco, yet at AT&T stores, lines were shorter and iPhone distribution much slower. And although fans camped out as early as Monday, after about 90 minutes anyone could come off the street and purchase the device.
As of Friday, Apple projected that iPhones would be available at every US location on Saturday. And further, buyers can purchase directly from the Apple Store.
The availability will dash the hopes of those trying to make a buck off the new device on eBay. ZDNet found iPhones priced at $1,000 on eBay, but unsurprisingly, no one bit the bait.
