Interpublic Group's R/GA has built a website for a short-film competition as part of Verizon's campaign celebrating the joys of broadband, reports AdWeek. The contest involved students in NYU's arts and business schools, who created videos on how broadband access ostensibly enriches life. The winning entries are featured on www.verizonbroadbandfilms.com, which also includes film-team bios, scripts, storyboards and clips from the making of the films.
R/GA hopes to attract users to the site virally and via links from www.broadbandstories.com, which the agency created as part of Verizon's "Richer. Deeper. Broader" branding campaign launched in June. R/GA supported that site with online ads; Verizon TV ads pointed to it.
