OPA: Will FCC Rule Changes Affect Online Landscape?
The the latest edition its OPA Intelligence Report, the Online Publishers Association has a good round-up of stories about the FCC's impact on the Web and weblogs, from souces including Wired, Salon, Shirky.com, OJR and Media Life. The consensus seems to be that, although the Internet provides people with greater diversity of media than they have ever had before, that is probably not sufficient to counter-balance the consolodation of media voice in offline alternatives, which is still where most people get the majority of their news and information.
