Cox: Internet is helping moms at home build careers
Publishers and service providers are finding more and more moms working from home now that certain industries are relying more heavily on internet-connected staffs. Entrepreneurs, marketers, self-publishers, writers, editors, graphic designers and others are finding they can better balance home and work lives in the absence of the need to travel to an office. The trend, which seems to be accelerating in the past year, is putting a traditionally risk-averse group in a more entrepreneurial frame of mind, with moms (and dads) recalculating the risk-reward equation involved in going it alone.
