Targeted to interior design acolytes, Design My Room allows users to upload a photo of their room and go to work on it virtually, reports Springwise.
Users can drag and drop products into a bare room, or refurnish an existing room, with a Flash-based app. Premium virtual items can also be purchased.
Designs can be saved and "published" on the site. Other users can rate and comment on the final product.
The site has a pool of sponsors, including Armstrong, Benjamin Moore, and Whirlpool, and also culls subscription fees for those that design multiple rooms.
