Intel Reportedly Dumping Havas

ClickZ reports this morning that Intel is dumping its incumbent agency holding company Havas in the midst of a very large account review. The $300 million account, including online work, has been handled by Havas's Euro RSCG and Media Planning Group. Still in the running are Omnicom, WPP and IPG interactive shops, which include R/GA, TM Interactive, Zentropy, DraftDigital, FCB Interactive, Organic, Agency.com, OgilvyInteractive, Wunderman, Digital@JWT and Outrider.

Intel's new head of sales and marketing reportedly joined after the review had begun, having just come from Samsung, a company that recently switched over to WPP shops.
