InMobi Signs Another Development Partner For In-App Ad Monetization

InMobi, the independent mobile ad network, has announced a partnership with MoSync, the provider of cross-platform tools used to create native mobile applications from a single code base. The companies claim the partnership will enable in-app advertisements from the MoSync development environment, allowing developers to monetize their apps more effectively and benefit from InMobi’s global scale to help turn their mobile apps into a viable mobile business. To facilitate in-app monetization, MoSync has added support for InMobi’s JavaScript Advertisement application programming interface (API) in the MoSync development environment. HTML5/ JavaScript developers can create native mobile apps that display InMobi banner ads by using MoSync's developer tools.

Also true, MoSync developers will gain access to InMobi’s global reach of 578 million consumers across 165 countries.

This is the second such announcement in recent weeks: In June, InMobi signed a similar agreement for Marmalade SDK, a cross-platform development environment for apps and games on smartphones, tablets, smart TVs and other embedded platforms.

"It was very straight-forward and easy to add support for InMobi’s JavasScript Advertisement API within the MoSync development environment…InMobi’s platform-independent mobile ad network and MoSync’s rich cross-platform development environment make for a logical and mutually beneficial partner collaboration, which enables developers to easily integrate mobile ad functionality into their HTML5 apps across multiple platforms in one go, including Android, iOS and Windows Phone," said Alex Jonsson, Chief Technical Officer at MoSync.

In turn, "We are excited about our partnership with MoSync and the opportunity to enable the vibrant community of MoSync developers to monetize their apps by leveraging the InMobi mobile advertising network globally," said Patrick Pettay, Head of App Developer Business Development EMEA at InMobi.
