Siltanen makes good
Suzuki Corp. has just endowed Siltanen & Partners Advertising with its $100 million auto account. Siltanen, based in Marina del Rey, CA, was chosen to manage a pair of Suzuki projects two months ago.
Dentsu Next of Brea, CA shall maintain Suzuki's motorcycle and ATV accounts for the time being. It has held the auto portion of the account since 2000, according to Advertising Age.
Siltanen's Suzuki auto coup marks the second major automotive account to go to an boutique ad agency. Last month, Mitsubishi passed its $185 million creative and interactive account to Hollywood-based Traffic.
Suzuki recently appointed Kinji Saito as president of its consolidated US operations.
