- Apple is expected to debut life-changing new iPods, and other products, at its "Let's Rock" event on September 9. Steve Jobs will be speaking.
- Popcuts, which launched in August, is experimenting with a crowdsourced music sales model. Users are charged $0.99 cents per song. When someone else buys the same track, previous buyers get a credit redeemable for more Popcuts music. The earlier a user "invests" in a song, the higher the cut.

- Speaking of Chrome, ZDNet points out it's vulnerable to a flaw that exposes Windows users to hacker attacks. Oops.
