Jaman specializes in independent and foreign films, and is publisher-friendly as it uses its own DRM technology.

Jaman delivers downloadable content in HD-quality, making it especially worthy of a TV screen.

TechCrunch highlights Babelgum as a Jaman competitor, but notes that Babelgum is strictly a streaming service; users cannot download its content.
