Silicon Valley venture capital firm Norwest Venture Partners has invested an undisclosed amount of cash into India's Yatra Online travel website, among the first SV firms to do invest in India's online services - in this case, its $40-billion travel - market, reports Red Herring. Also investing are Reliance Capital of India and broadcaster TV18. Within the next six months, Yatra plans to help Indian consumers and businesses book airline, train and bus tickets as well as hotel and rental car reservations. Users will have the option to make their bookings online or by using their mobile handsets.
