Stateside Pizza Huts Let Customers Text Orders In

Now taking orders via txt

Pizza Hut has launched a mobile system that lets customers order from any of its 6,200 outlets across the US via text message or on a mobile browser, reports Reuters.

Pizza Hut believes half its revenue will come from mobile and web orders within five years. The company stated it has a "core group of customers that is very tech savvy."

Other pizza delivery chains have embraced web and mobile ordering, but Pizza Hut asserts its mobile system is the most comprehensive.

In November, Papa John's was the first to offer text ordering at all of its over 2,700 US outlets. And last September, Domino's offered mobile web ordering at half of its 5,100 US outlets.
